Simple Solutions for Clearing Skin Congestion

Written by olivia sepel

These hacks are designed to fit seamlessly into your busy lifestyle, offering quick and effective solutions for a clearer, healthier complexion.

  • Fish Oil Tablets:  By adding these omega-3-rich capsules to my daily routine (JShealth Vitamins, of course), I noticed a huge difference in my skin's health. Fish oils increase water levels in the skin and improve its structural integrity and barrier function. It's amazing what a small change can do!

  • Hands Off!: Have you ever noticed how dirty your hands and phone can be? I sure did when I realized that the side of my face I used my phone on was prone to congestion. That's when I discovered the power of discipline. I made a conscious effort to refrain from touching my face under any circumstances throughout the day. This simple adjustment was a game-changer, preventing the spread of germs and protecting my delicate skin from irritation.

  • Nourishment from Within: It's crazy how the moment I eat simpler foods, like cheese and bread because I'm feeling lazy and tired, I get congested right away. But when I incorporate fruits, veggies, and more nutritious foods into my diet, my skin clears up.

  • Clean Sheets and Towels: Some people might think I'm a bit obsessive about cleanliness, but I believe it's crucial for maintaining clear skin. Clean sheets and towels play a big role in keeping congestion at bay. Trust me, it's worth the extra effort.

  • Quality Sleep: Last but certainly not least, I've come to recognise the profound impact of quality sleep on my overall well-being. When I prioritise rest and relaxation, I notice that my skin's health improves significantly. Getting enough sleep is like giving my body and skin the recharge they need to tackle whatever the day throws at me.

  • Clean your makeup brushes: It simply can't be good have a build of makeup and skin bacteria sit on a brush for your skin, so I clean my brushes once every two weeks. When you clean them more frequent the quicker and easier it is. I use this antibacterial soap with hot water, works magic. My dermatologist recommend this hack.
